What does it mean that a product is organic?

Organic products are most often associated with something that is simply ecological. That's a good line of reasoning, but it's worth elaborating on. An organic product has been created from raw materials produced in an environmentally and animal-friendly way. For example, organic food is produced using organic farming methods. In practice, this means a total ban on using chemical fertilizers and reducing pesticides to an absolute minimum. It is also necessary to take care of animal welfare. And that's still not all!

Organic products must also be packaged appropriately. Their packaging should be as environmentally friendly as possible. In addition, only some products that contain something organic can be certified. In the case of food, a product should have at least 95% organic ingredients to receive the appropriate label.

Why is it worth buying organic products?

The most obvious reason to use organic products is to care for the environment. It's not just some ideology or view - it's an absolute necessity! As consumers' preferences change, more and more change among producers will be necessary. Using organic products lets producers know that this is what we expect from them - respect for nature.

However, there are many other reasons why buying organic products makes sense. In the case of food, these are, of course, health issues. The less chemistry we introduce into our body, the better. However, it is worth knowing that organic cosmetics are also more friendly to our bodies. They are much gentler on human skin. Natural ingredients also support numerous biological processes without artificial interference in them.

Remember always to check whether the products you buy have the appropriate certificates. Information about them can be found on the packaging. However, some data may be misleading, so verify all labels carefully.
