One of the great things about art is that it can move even a layperson. Of course, we could not describe the painting style or even name all the shades on the canvas. Our heart, however, will be touched, and emotions will appear in us, new sensations. This is what the art of prof. Joanna Janowska-Augustyn.

Meeting

As you probably know, at the beginning of the year, I attended a charity ball organized by the Lena Grochowska Foundation and the Arche Group. At the same time, our whole world changed - war broke out. The goal of the fundraiser at the ball was immediately changed because it was necessary to help Ukraine. The atmosphere of this event was unique. Everyone opened their hearts and looked for hope. There, I had the great pleasure of meeting Prof. Joanna Janowska-Augustyn. Now I am the happy owner of the artwork I won at the auction. The graphics moved me; it is associated with my life path and became for me a reflection and an icon of my ideas.

Path

Who is the person who gives the world his inner thoughts in the form of beautiful works of art?

Professor Joanna Janowska-Augustyn comes from Rzeszów. The path of her development as a student began at the Faculty of Philosophy of Jagiellonian University. I was very interested in this information. This led me to a reflection, the effect of which is the thought that from the very beginning, prof. Janowska-Augustyn not only practices art but also is art. An open mind, a work of thinking - everything that I associate with philosophy is the art of being. In the following years, Joanna not only studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow but also obtained a diploma with honors. However, she did not stop there. She broadened her horizons while staying at the Kent Institute of Art and Design in Canterbury. The following years are already a doctorate, habilitation…

A particularly distinctive feature of Joanna, a colorful character, is her constant work on art. Prof. Joanna Janowska-Augustyn is not only a lecturer, a person with a few extra letters before her name, or a former scholarship holder. She is an artist who has had over a dozen individual exhibitions and a lot of group exhibitions. She is an artist recognized with numerous awards. She is an experimenter who does graphics, drawing, painting, and photography.

Inwards

Outside, we can see the effect of the artist's work. However, with what is out, with what is descriptive, I cannot fully express the impact of these searches, efforts, struggles, experiences, ups and downs, decisions, pain, joy, reflection - everything that makes up a man and what makes up a man. . However, there is something in the works of Prof. Janowska-Augustyn, which pours it all into the recipient, inside.
