You don't have to steal your first million
"To achieve success, you have to aim high and approach it without complexes"
Booksy is a platform that already has 40 million users. It was created to reach higher and for more. Konrad Howard, co-founder of this amazing start-up, was recently a guest on the podcast "In Good Light". I enjoyed listening to this conversation and I absolutely want to share it with you.
World's Number 1
Konrad Howard and his partner had already had a successful start-up – Software House. However, the company's existence also coincided with a period of great change. Working with many publishers, they saw the Internet taking over and paper editions of newspapers becoming less and less popular. Despite the fact that Software House provided solutions that could help entrepreneurs stay in the changing market, the founders of the company quickly came to the conclusion that they could not influence the way of thinking and using the solutions they offered. They came up with the idea of starting a business for which they would be responsible from start to finish, modernizing the functioning of other companies in the era of the Internet. This is how Booksy was born.
Konrad Howard has repeatedly said that they didn't want to be number one in Poland or even in Europe. Their goal was very specific - number one in the world. They wanted to create something exceptional, they didn't think about it in typical business categories.
Common vision, different competencies
During the conversation "In Good Light", the founder of Booksy shared an important thought about cooperation with his partner - he emphasized that they were united by a vision and common values, but had different competences. In this way, they created a complementary team. Of course, creating a platform required creating an entire team, hence cooperation with people with many different skills.
However, a start-up is not a simple business. It takes a lot of luck and determination to achieve real success.
Adventure begins where comfort ends
Konrad has already repeated these exceptional words in other interviews. However, they are memorable because they are extremely accurate and unique at the same time. In podcast you can also hear about the price that had to be paid for success, how Booksy developed and what Konrad's vision was. I strongly encourage you to listen – You Don't Have to Steal Your First Million And Konrad Howard in a Good Light.
